Dr. Edward Livingston TrudeauDr. E.L. Trudeau was the founder of Trudeau Sanatorium and the Saranac Laboratory. He came to Saranac Lake in the 1870s to spend his last days at peace while dying from tuberculosis. After he unexpectedly recovered, he built a place that would enable others to find their health, just as he did. He lived at 105 (present-day 118) Main Street.
