Manuel QuezónManuel Quezón was the president of the Commonwealth of the Philippines from 1935 to 1944. At the outset of World War II and under the threat of Japanese invasion, Quezón established a government in exile in the United States. He stayed at Camp Massapequa on Lower Saranac Lake and died of tuberculosis while there in 1944.
