Alice and Mary HuntAlice and Mary Hunt were sisters from New York City; they were the first two patients of the Adirondack Cottage Sanitarium (later Trudeau Sanatorium) in 1884. When they arrived both were in poor health and badly dressed for the Adirondack winter cold. The Norton family took them in until the first cure cottage, Little Red, was complete.
