Alfred Lee DonaldsonAlfred Donaldson was a banker, musician, and author who came to Saranac Lake for treatment in February 1895. He was treated by Dr. E.L. Trudeau. He wrote “A History of the Adirondacks,” a comprehensive two-volume history of the park, while ill later in life. He lived at 30 (present-day 44) Church Street, now known as Donaldson Cottage.
