Marc CookMarc Cook was a reporter for a New York City newspaper who in 1879 became ill with tuberculosis. He came to the Adirondacks to cure until 1880. His account of his experience, “the Wilderness Cure,” was instrumental in the growth of the cure industry in Saranac Lake.
